I Voted! Did you?

I voted today. I voted because I love my country, I appreciate my freedom, and I’m grateful to have a voice. Every night my family watches the world news to see what’s happening, both here and abroad. In our home we tend to watch a few different networks, including international ones via the internet, to get a better perspective on global issues. Over and over again, as I watch the sadness and turmoil in some other countries, I find myself so grateful to be living in America– a free country, where we have a voice in which laws govern our society. This freedom was hard fought by our forefathers, and it’s protected by the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. What a blessing to live in a country where people are willing to put themselves in harm’s way to protect our freedom and our voice. The very least we can do as American citizens is get out there and participate in the process… it’s the best way I know to say “thank you” to those who have sacrificed so much for us.

Yes, I did vote Tuesday… sorry, the newsletter just hit my email, but my great mothers and their sisters fought for the right. I proudly use it to voice my opinion. Thank you for asking

YES, I voted on Tuesday (I just get the weekly version of your email, so just got it today). And in about 40 years since I’ve been eligible, I have never missed a chance to vote! I believe it is a right, a privilege, and a DUTY.
