This week on The Shiksa in the Kitchen, I’ll be focusing on one of my very favorite food subjects…

Meaning Breakfast for Dinner, of course.  :)

My family loves having breakfast for dinner. We do it a couple of times a month because it’s fun, easy, and lighter than a big heavy dinner meal. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite brinner recipes before we head into our Passover holiday planning. I’ll be sharing some brand new brinner recipes, as well as favorite dishes from the archives.

To celebrate Brinner Week, I’m holding a fun breakfast-themed giveaway! Comment on this post and let me know what your favorite brinner dish is. Our favorite brinner dish? waffles — of course!! With eight children, you’d better believe we had waffles a lot! Actually, I inherited my mother’s WWII era BHG cookbook, and the recipe for cornflake waffles clearly states that waffles make a great and economical supper — that’s what we called it in the old days. I also inherited her Sunbeam waffle baker, and you can imagine that it is on its last legs (I’m 60 and mom is baking waffles in heaven). Sure would love a new one, so I am sharing!
